Take confidence in Homeland's medical team. Your results are confidential. We use only health care professionals and all blood lab work is done by finger stick method. We always educate your employees regarding their results, disease prevention and next steps.
Homeland is a CLIA certified lab and will do any CLIA waived test at your worksite. We also contract with a CLIA certified off site lab for additional laboratory testing you may require.
In addition, we offer On-Line Registration, so your employees have a scheduled appointment. We manage the details.

Laboratory Tests
Cholesterol Screening and Cardiovascular Risk Assessment
Homeland Health Specialists offers Cardiovascular Risk Assessment and related health education at your location. The comprehensive assessment may include measuring blood pressure, cholesterol testing, and diabetic screening with blood glucose. We use the Cholestech LDX System for testing cholesterol and glucose, giving accurate results in 5 minutes. You can customize the extent of testing to your company’s needs:
- Total Cholesterol (TC) (no fasting required)
- TC & HDL (no fasting)
- TC, HDL & Glucose (no fasting)
- Lipid Profile (TC, HDL, Triglycerides, TC/HDL ratio, and estimates of LDL/VLDL) (12 hours fasting)
- Lipid Profile & Glucose (12 hours fasting)
The health professional will spend time reviewing results and answering questions with each individual. Educational materials are provided using American Heart Association guidelines. For those individuals that screen at high risk for cardiovascular disease or diabetes, a referral is done to their primary care physician for further evaluation.
Diabetes Screening
Homeland Health Specialists offers diabetic screening to identify asymptomatic individuals who are likely to have diabetes. The screening includes measuring A1C via a finger stick and education conducted by an experienced, well-trained health professional. The health professional will spend time reviewing results and answering questions with each individual. Educational materials are provided, using American Diabetes Association guidelines.
Lead Testing
Our Lead Care II blood lead testing system provides state of the art testing on site for lead levels. We report all levels to the Dept of Health as mandated by law.
H Pylori Screening
Homeland Health Specialists offers screening for Helicobacter Pylori, the bacteria that causes stomach ulcers, or peptic ulcer disease. Peptic ulcer disease is one of the most common human ailments, affecting about 50% of the world’s population. Using a small blood sample via finger stick, results are available in 5 minutes. Results counseling and education are offered to each tested individual.
ALT/AST Test
An ALT / AST test is used to see if the liver is diseased or damaged. Normally, these levels are low but if the liver is diseased or damaged, levels go up.
Hemoglobin
Using the Hb201 Hemoglobin analyzer we will measure your blood hemoglobin. This test is provides lab accurate results in 1 minute.
Metabolic Panel
Using the state of the art i-STAT, we can perform a comprehensive panel of critical tests. The metabolic panel measures your glucose level, electrolyte and fluid balance, and kidney function. The tests included in this panel are sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, carbon dioxide, glucose, blood urea nitrogen, and creatinine.
Nicotine Screening
Homeland Health Specialists offers testing for nicotine use and/or smoking status. This test is highly sensitive and will detect even the smallest levels of nicotine. Using only a sample of saliva, the results are available in on-site in 20 minutes.
TSH Test
Elevated TSH is the first clinical indicator of hypothyroidism. This test allows you to know in 10 minutes if your TSH is elevated.
Health Screenings
Hypertension & Heart Rate Screening
Homeland Health Specialists' health professionals can check blood pressure and offer education for dealing with elevated blood pressure. They will spend time reviewing the results with each participant and will answer any questions the participant may have. Educational materials are provided, using American Heart Association guidelines. For those individuals that screen at high risk, a referral is done to their primary care physician for further evaluation.
Pulse Oximetry Screening
Homeland Health Specialists offers pulse oximetry assessment. Pulse oximetry is a procedure used to measure the concentration of oxygen in the blood. The reading is used in the evaluation of various medical conditions that affect the function of the heart and lungs. The simple, painless test is conducted by a health professional using a small device that attaches to a finger. The results are immediate. The health professional will provide results counseling and education for each individual tested. Educational materials are also provided.
DermAnalysis Screening
Homeland Health Specialists offers analysis to evaluate skin condition and sun damage. This is a fast and painless procedure monitored by a health professional. Results counseling and education is offered with each analysis. Education materials are also provided.
Body Composition Screening
Homeland Health Specialists body composition screenings assess risks for obesity, and obesity-associated diseases. Weight Management includes confidential assessment will include height, weight, activity level, body fat, body mass index, and body frame. Basic educational materials will be provided with the assessment to each employee. One-on-one consultation is available with a fitness expert at an additional cost.
Caloric RMR Screening
Homeland Health Specialists offers a resting metabolic rate measurement using a quick and easy breath test. The metabolic measurement will determine how many calories your body needs to meet your specific goals in weight loss/maintenance, etc., by giving an accurate daily caloric target. The test is administered by a health professional, and will provide counseling and education. Caloric RMR screening requires 30 minutes per participant.
Fitness Assessment
The Physical Fitness test is comprised of 3 events. The exercises measure muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility.
Vision Screening
Homeland Health Specialists offers vision screenings to measure visual acuity. The test is quickly and easily administered, with immediate results available. Vision Screening includes checking vision for both eyes using the Snellen eye chart. A health professional spends time educating and reviewing the results with each participant and is able to answer any questions. Educational materials are provided.
Hearing Testing
Homeland Health Specialists offers hearing testing using an audiometer. This screening will assess how well the individual can hear various high and low frequencies. A hearing health history is taken and audiometry is completed in a “quiet room.” Individuals will be counseled and educated on their results. The testing requires 15 minutes per participant.
Memory Screening
Homeland Health Specialists offers cognitive impairment testing using the Mini Mental State Exam. This exam measures five areas of cognitive function and is useful in evaluating physiological status, ability to learn, and responses to treatment. The test takes 5-10 minutes per person to complete.
Ergonomics Assessment
A preventative individualized ergonomic assessment will be completed by a health professional with specialized training in occupational health and ergonomic assessment. Immediate adjustment of the individual workstation is done. (Multi-user workstations may require adjustable interventions to accommodate different users) Written individual work practice modification and recommendations for interventions within 3 workdays are given to the employer. Any special concerns related to individual ergonomics for symptomatic individuals are addressed. A list of resources for any recommended devices or products to the employer is provided. Each Individual Ergonomic Assessment requires between 15 to 30 minutes.
Aggregate Data Collection and Summary & Recommendations Report
We offer collection of demographic and lab data during any of our health screening. This data is not identified with any individual and is confidential. Data is analyzed; results and recommendations are made by our physician for worksite health follow up.
